Our company has expertise and references in treating and managing all types of biodegradable wastes, including green and kitchen waste, sewage sludge, by-products of animal origin and other food industry wastes. After conducting all necessary analyses, we can provide technologies for treating special types of biodegradable waste.

Wide range of designs with membrane cover

With over 20 years of experience in environmental industry and waste management we select the most appropriate technology for the needs of our partners and customers. Using the GORE® Cover membrane we have references in designing and installing simple heap and retaining wall composting systems, as well as in-vessel composting with lifting system, related to which our company is unique internationally. We are market leaders in providing a diversity of technological solutions for handling the membrane cover.

Optimised solutions

Several of our recognized experts have PhD degrees in the field, and we maintain close contact and conduct innovation activities with various universities and research institutes in Hungary and abroad. We conducted numerous examinations and studies related to developing optimal handling solutions for the GORE® Cover membrane, including with raw materials that have different physical, chemical and biological properties, and related to the use of final products.

REFERTIL project


Purpose of the project:

REFERTIL provides EU-28 standardized, advanced, and comprehensive bio-waste treatment and nutrient recovery process improvements towards zero emission performance with eco-safe output compost and biochar products. The REFERTIL development works cover fields from applied science to economical industrial scale ups, including industrial technology engineering for the benefits and interest of the SME farmers. The improved output products will be safe, economical and standardized compost and biochar products containing phosphorous and nitrogen that can be economically and beneficially used by SME farmers. As a result, both food and environmental safety is improved, while a new bio-economy is generated.

REFERTIL- ProfiKomp Open days

Thank you for participating in this questionnaire about Biochar and Compost. The purpose is to determine the possible market for Biochar and improved Compost products in relation to the EU FERTRILIZER REGULATION revision.

The questionnaire should take no more than 15 minutes to complete. Responses to the survey are anonymous and all completed survey material is strictly confidential.

The questionnaire are divided into three sections; a general section about the respondent, a Biochar section and a Compost section.

The results from this study will be used to examine the following:

  • Consumer acceptance evaluation of Biochar and Compost.
  • Socio-economic analysis and feasibility of REFERTIL Biochar and Compost technologies.
  • Evaluation of the awareness of the Biochar and Compost materials.
  • Evaluation of the market response to REFERTIL Biochar and Compost products.
  • Evaluation of the potential barriers of the Biochar and Compost technologies.

REFERTIL open days at the Ökörtelek-völgyi Waste management Plant

The open days were held on 20 April, 4 May and on 20 May organised by ProfiKomp®.
